Cirque du Soleil
In 2014, SOS Children’s Villages and world-renowned entertainment company Cirque du Soleil established a global partnership to empower vulnerable children and youth.
Cirque du Soleil has spent more than 20 years building Cirque du MondeTM, a program designed to help vulnerable children and youth develop life skills vital for healthy relationships, academic success, future employability and successful integration into the community.
In partnership with Cirque du Soleil, SOS Children’s Villages incorporated Cirque du Monde inspired programming into its work with vulnerable children and youth.
SOS Social Circus programs were piloted in Mexico City and Huehuetoca, Mexico, in 2014. The program then expanded to Brazil, Peru and South Africa.
