SOS Children's Villages in Chung-li
In 1972, SOS Children's Village Chung-li started looking after children who had lost parental care. Children could live in one of the 12 family homes, growing up with their brothers and sisters and looked after by their SOS mother.
The SOS Children's Villages model of family-based care became the model for the official child welfare agencies on the island.
