SOS Children's Villages in Berlin
The SOS Children's Village Berlin-Moabit is located in the centre of Germany's capital of Berlin, and was officially opened in October 2005. Representing a further development of the SOS Children's Village model, the village comprises two rented apartments and offers accommodation to about twelve children. The children are encouraged to join in a number of activities, such as music lessons, private tuition, and also therapeutic programmes.
The SOS Children's Village Berlin-Moabit further includes an SOS Social Centre used as a day care centre and meeting point for families, offering family education, special projects for children and - in co-operation with schools - educational and family counselling, and projects for mothers and children.
