From humble beginnings to worldwide impact: Celebrating a global movement
April 25 marks 75 years as a global movement, and 55 years in Canada, rooted in the simple belief that children need and deserve to grow up in a nurturing and loving environment.
During these 75 years, SOS Children’s Villages has spread in reach and scope, and we have witnessed a positive impact on millions of children, their families and communities.
This movement is a testament to the ceaseless devotion of many caregivers, volunteers, donors, staff, and partners worldwide, and we express our heartfelt thanks to all of them.
We are pleased to present our latest publication, 75 Years of Impact. This comprehensive report updates the social impact assessment data presented in our earlier report, 70 Years of Impact, and expands the discussion to include the results of our advocacy efforts from the last two decades. It features insightful interviews with former program participants, a professional caregiver, a community leader, and two policymakers, providing a multifaceted view of our impact.
As we celebrate our past achievements, let us also look to the future. Together, let us reaffirm our commitment to building a world where every child and young person is given the opportunity to live a life of dignity. Together, we can continue to build on this global movement, which remains a beacon of hope for those who have no one – so that no child grows up alone.
Your continued support is crucial in this endeavour.
