Salzburg Marionette Performance of the Sound of Music

Location:  Cinquième Salle, Montreal

SOS Children’s Villages Canada is happy to share with you  the official invitation to the Salzburg Marionette performance of the Sound of Music and VIP entrance to to the pre-show cocktail event on February 23, 2016.  The event is hosted by our friends at Les hypothèques Castleton and Banque de développement du Canada.  The cocktail will be held from 18 h to 19 h 30, and will be held in the foyer of the Cinquième Salle after which the theater doors will open (for those who have purchased tickets for the concert).

This faithful adaptation of the Broadway favorite features the original Rodgers and Hammerstein music and lyrics. The Sound of Music is one of the Salzburg Marionette Theater’s most beloved performances, and has even been performed for the von Trapp family upon whose lives the story is based. The Theater’s puppeteers display amazing skills and will undoubtedly captivate children and adults. The fine expressive detail in the sculptured heads, the meticulous tailoring of the costumes and  the impeccable construction of the stage-sets all contribute to the outstanding performances of the Salzburg Marionette Theatre, a renowned Austrian institution founded in 1913.
